Why an Interim Manager?

Interim management is the provision of effective business solutions by an independent, board or near-board level manager or executive, over a finite time span. Such complex solutions may include change, transformation and turnaround management, business improvement, crisis management and strategy development. Interim managers are often experienced in multiple sectors and disciplines.

An Interim Manager brings well-qualified skills and expertise to bear at short notice, without the overheads and shackles associated with employment. They consult, plan, advise, implement, and embed the lessons, then exit, handling a range of key strategic and tactical interventions. As businesses in their own right, they offer independent expertise, free of company politics, and take responsibility for delivering results, not just offering advice.

As an Interim Manager I offer your organisation

Wide expertise

With a strong track record of completing a variety of assignments, I typically combine depth and breadth of expertise from across multiple industries, countries and cultures. This agility gives me the wide reaching expertise to deliver results quickly.

Transformational

I often focus on activities related to change, transition, business improvement, crisis management and turnaround. Even when the time period is short, I address the gap or shortage, add value and energise the workplace.

Senior

I operate at board or near-board level, have gravitas and credibility. I am used to leading businesses, functions and departments. Extensive experience allows me to advise then deliver effective solutions.

Professional

As a micro business in my own right, I operate my own Limited Company. I have my own Public Liability and Professional Liability insurance, web presence, social channel and business connections.

High Impact

I am practised at making a significant difference quickly, assessing and working with the company culture and often with little in the way of a long drawn out formal ‘briefs’. I need little time to warm up or to settle in, but focus quickly on the work in hand.

Independent

I remain outside of company politics and so am able to address issues from a position of neutrality. This can be particularly useful when difficult and unpopular decisions have to be taken. You can rely on me to act as trusted advisor and tell it as it is.

Time focused

I may be available at short notice. It is not unusual to be assigned to several customers at once working on agreed and contracted days. Once engaged, I focus on providing significant value within the agreed fixed-term time parameters, seeing the assignment through and for not longer than needed, to a successful conclusion.
